Giant Eagle Mobile Market Planned for Glen Hazel

Good news! The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) has agreed to work cooperatively with POORLAW, GH-CARED, Praise Temple Deliverance Church, and Giant Eagle in bringing a Giant Eagle Mobile Market to the public housing community of Glen Hazel. These efforts are to further our vision to stop the growing problem of food apartheid in the Greater Hazelwood community.

This agreement compliments our recent collaboration with Hazlewood Inative (HI) and Arts Excursion Unlimited to establish a mobile grocery store operation on Second Avenue at the former S&R market location and to make food access more feasible for the residents of Glen Hazel public housing.
