Ice Skating at the Hunt Armory
The Pittsburgh Penguins have given the Greater Hazelwood community a date and time for FREE ice skating at the Hunt Armory:

Landlords can get graded by renters on a new website
A new website allows Allegheny County renters to put local landlords and property managers on blast for slum housing conditions and unfair evictions.
The “Good Landlords Review” is a rating and review platform in which former and current renters recommend good landlords to other prospective renters as well as offer words of warning about bad ones.
The project is led by Narrative Justice, a local organization that wants to bring attention to the problem of slumlords, slum housing, unfair evictions and the possible exploitation of rental housing applicants.

Guaranteed Basic Mobility (GBM) pilot program
City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure is now recruiting for their Guaranteed Basic Mobility (GBM) pilot program. This program will make a huge difference for 50 individuals by reducing costs for transportation and improving access to opportunities, services, and enjoyment.

Feed My People Program Fall 2022
Praise Temple Deliverance Church in collaboration with POORLAW, HOPE 1212 and The Pittsburgh Foundation will host two community holiday events during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. Both events will consist of dinners and the attendees will receive household supplies and a gift card.
Public Transit Fair Fares Workshops
We need more affordable transit fares in Allegheny County, because fares should never be a barrier to accessing basic needs. Pittsburghers for Public Transit looking for transit riders who use EBT cards to join them at either one of two public meetings to learn more about the campaign for #FairFares and push for fare equity.
Woods Village Project Community Update
The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA) invites the Hazelwood community to join them for an update on the Woods Village multi-family rental townhome development project. The developer, Oak Moss Associates, LLC, will share the current site plan, the results of the site environmental studies, their workforce development plans, and vision for small business retail shops. Food and beverages will be provided.
